During the Signing
- To ensure the signing is done correctly and without delay, please avoid using your phone or other distractions during the signing process.
- The notary is not a real estate lawyer and cannot answer detailed questions about your documents. If you have any questions, the notary will provide you with the appropriate contact information.
- The notary will briefly explain the document and point out where your signature is needed.
Before the Signing
- Valid identification, such as a driver's license, passport, or green card, must be presented. Please have a copy of your ID ready for the notary to forward with the signed documents.
- Please bring both black and blue pens to the signing. Different title companies may have different requirements for ink color.
- If the signing is taking place at your home, please ensure that a clean, well-lit area with a table and chairs is available.
