During the Signing
To ensure the signing is done correctly and without delay, please avoid using your phone or other distractions during the signing process.
The notary is not a real estate lawyer and cannot answer detailed questions about your documents. If you have any questions, the notary will provide you with the appropriate contact information.
The notary will briefly explain the document and point out where your signature is needed.
Before the Signing
Valid identification, such as a driver's license, passport, or green card, must be presented. Please have a copy of your ID ready for the notary to forward with the signed documents.
Please bring both black and blue pens to the signing. Different title companies may have different requirements for ink color.
If the signing is taking place at your home, please ensure that a clean, well-lit area with a table and chairs is available.
